Upgrading Contemporary License Subscriptions
Upgrades between Minor and Major Versions
All Active License Subscriptions cover all future major and minor upgrades for as long as the BotDetect is still released under that particular License
in question.
If a particular License gets retired, all Licensee organizations with its Active License Subscription will be offered to switch to one or more of
successor Licenses covering that particular use case.
Those upgrades are charged $1 Registration Fee★ instead of the First
Month Price, and then the regular Subsequent Months Price of the chosen successor License Subscriptions after that.
The exception is a situation when the Vendor will want to exit the business of licensing BotDetect for a particular kind of use case altogether -- when
no successor License covering it will exist.
Upgrades between Different License Types
When upgrading a particular BotDetect License within the same technology, the First Month Price of the old License Subscription is deducted from the
First Month Price of the new one.
The Licensee organization pays the difference between their First Month Prices, and then the regular Subsequent Months Price of the new License
Subscription thereafter.
For example, that applies when upgrading:
- from a Enterprise License to a Blueprint License
- from a Blueprint License to a Developer License
- from a Developer License to an OEM License
