PLEASE NOTE:

When you purchase any of the BotDetect license subscriptions the following two things happen:

  • You receive a fully functional copy of the BotDetect software. It IS NOT CRIPPLED with any copy protection, time limitation, domain tie, or any other barb. It does not call home, and it does not require any license keys.
  • You enter the legal agreement in between you and Captcha, Inc. -- the License -- that gives you the right to use the BotDetect software as long as you comply with the License terms, and your license subscription is active.

If your license subscription ever expires:

  • BotDetect WILL NOT STOP WORKING. Full-stop.
  • Your licensing status will be 'temporary non-compliant' -- what does not really matter.
  • Our support department will remind you kindly to renew your license subscription.

In short:

  • There are tens of different reasons why your license payment might not arrive on time, like: credit card expirations (it will happen to almost every one of you every three years), personnel changes, maternity leaves, medical urgencies, vacancies, sick kid, or your organization might simply be temporarily cash-strapped.
  • No matter what -- the BotDetect WILL WORK -- it will never ever cripple your website!

Upgrading Information for Licence Subscribers

(all licenses purchased after 2015/07/31)

Upgrades between Minor and Major Versions

All license subscriptions include all future major and minor upgrades.

Upgrades between Different License Types

When upgrading your BotDetect license, within the same technology, the first year price of the previous license is deducted from the first year price of the new license.

You pay just the difference in between the first year prices of those two licenses.

For example, that applies when upgrading:

  • from a Website License to a Domain License
  • from a Domain License to an Enterprise License
  • from a Enterprise License to a Blueprint License
  • from a Blueprint License to a Developer License
  • from a Developer License to an OEM License

Upgrading with Additional Technologies

When upgrading your BotDetect license with additional technologies, the first year price of the previous license (bundle) is deducted from the first year price of the new license bundle.

You pay just the difference in between the first year prices of those two licenses.

For example, that applies when upgrading:

  • from a .NET License to a .NET & Java (bundle) License
  • from a PHP & .NET (bundle) License to a PHP & .NET & Java (bundle) License

General Purchasing Information

  • The purchase of any license subscription that does not include the source code (Website, Domain and Enterprise) includes 30 days money-back guarantee.

    The purchase of any license subscription that includes the source code (Blueprint, Developer, OEM) is final -- no refunds will be available.

    • The purchase of any of Professional Services is final -- no refunds will be available.

  • EU residents are also charged VAT on the price.
